![]() ![]() ![]() WSD can be turned off in the IPV4 settings of the MFP under device management\configuration. ![]() ![]() WSD is a BIG problem but will usually cause the MFP to print very slow. Turning off snmp on the driver in the port configuring settings has also resolved this issue. Have your Rep make this change in addition to firmware updates. This is recommended if the if the machine won't wake up during sleep mode and also will show off line. If the machine has a fax option there is a bit switch SP1101-022 where bit switch 1 should be changed to a 1. What driver are you using and does the MFP have the Adobe PS3 option. If the data light is not blinking then a print job is not the problem. Ricoh came out with a emulated PS driver for these models and a PS3 option that cost extra. AutoDesk Cad usually use the PS driver to print. If the data light is blinking and the driver is showing off line then a print job is causing the lock up. My theory is that there is a driver / software issue or conflict, but as to where I go from this point - I am at a loss.Īny help would be greatly appreciated you brainiacs! Though the issue must lie with this printer, as printing to alternative printers never seem to cause this issue. I have had both network and printer specialists investigate this, and they are both at a loss. Now though, it doesn't seem to come back online for quite a while, if at all some days, which as you can imagine - isn't ideal! Usually, the easy fix for this is to clear whatever error has happened in the Print Queue and wait 10 minutes. My issue is, on an intermittent basis, their printer will show as 'Offline'. For the moment, this setup cannot be changed due to the way our Plasma machines are set up - so we are stuck with the old computer. I have two users in my Production office, who both use AutoDesk CAD software, with one being a fairly new machine with an up to date version of the software, and one being a very old machine running an old version of the software. I have wracked every brain-cell I have as well as those of our specialists, and we are still stuck in the same situation, so I am hoping one of my fellow Spiceheads might be able to help us out!Ī bit of background before I begin - in May, my company invested in a fleet of Ricoh MP C2504ex MFPs for the whole company. ![]()
